If you're interested in World of Warcraft you can get a small glimpse at what it is like by checking out a free 10 day trial. There are some limitations however, you cannot trade other players (or access the auction house :( ), you can only gain 20 levels (out of 80), and some other barriers that I cannot remember. These are lifted once you purchase the full version of the game.
